New Mental Health Legislation

Most health insurance providers have strict limits on treatment for mental disorders including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). However, that may change if advocates are successful in getting new legislation passed through Congress that would mandate insurance companies to broaden their coverage. Overall, the legislation would help people with GAD receive more complete treatment without increased out of pocket costs. There will certainly be more stories as this develops, and hopefully a national dialogue on the value of mental heath care follows.
