Question: Is anxiety related to fear?
Answer: Anxiety can be related to several psychological processes, one of which is fear. It is natural to experience some anxiety when we are faced with situations that can provoke fear, and sometimes this can keep us safe. People with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), though, often misinterpret situations as being threatening, when in fact they are not, which then can cause more significant life problems.
